Chronic Tinnitus is similar to chronic pain, and "Phantom" limb pain. Chronic Tinnitus is considered to be "Phantom" sound.
Treatment for Tinnitus, Chronic Phantom Sound, is therefore similar to the visualisation techniques used to overcome chronic pain,
with additional therapy to influence the sound, frequency and volume directly.
