What is the Bowen Technique?

Bowen Therapy or Bowen Technique is a hands-on technique designed to stimulate the body to engage in its own self-healing mechanism both physically and mentally. It is an extremely gentle form of body work that can be used to treat a whole range of health complaints.

Gentle tension releasing moves are applied over specific muscle groups to stimulate neural pathways and help bring balance to the musculoskeletal framework, nervous system and soft tissue such as internal organs and fascia.

Bowen is completely non-invasive, extremely relaxing and can achieve major results with just a few treatments!

Bowen Technique is used to help:

* Back, neck and shoulder problems
* Frozen shoulder
* Scoliosis
* Fibromyalgia
* Digestive and respiratory problems
* Headaches and migraines
* Any muscle pain
* Teeth grinding

What is Naturopathy?

A Naturopath uses a ‘whole person’ approach to health and integratges a number of complementary healing practices that base themselves on the following principles to create a state of wellness.

  1. To support and facilitate natures healing powers to eliminate disease processes Identify the causative factor of the disease state and treat accordingly.
  2. Choose methods of healing that will do no harm to the patient and avoid masking or suppressing systems.
  3. Educate the patient where possible and highlight the importance of self-responsibility.
  4. Address the person as a whole when treating, as the expression of one system may be due to a malfunctioning of another, i.e. skin conditions relating to elimination of toxins in the bowel/liver.

Depending on the individual requirements of the patient the most appropriate modality will be used and include:

Herbal Medicine

The use of prepared herbs in a tincture, tablet or tea that have various medicinal properties. Tinctures are made up individually for the patients specific needs

Nutritional Supplements

The use of single supplements or combination formulas to address vitamin or mineral deficiencies. May also involve dietary advice or special diets, i.e. allergy elimination diet.

Homoeopathic Preparations

Diluted and succussed preparations that stimulate the body’s vital force to heal itself. Safefor children, adults and the elderly.

Some other modalities include:

Kinesiology,  Bowen Therapy, Remedial Massage, Detoxification programs, Reflexology, Counselling and Meditation, Neuro Emotional Technique.
