{"id":229,"date":"2018-06-19T12:40:45","date_gmt":"2018-06-19T02:40:45","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.usenature.com\/info-blog\/?p=229"},"modified":"2019-11-26T10:34:53","modified_gmt":"2019-11-26T00:34:53","slug":"are-gluten-free-products-healthy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.usenature.com\/info-blog\/holistic-health\/are-gluten-free-products-healthy\/","title":{"rendered":"Are gluten free products healthy"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3><strong>Are gluten free products healthy?<\/strong><\/h3>\n<h2><strong>The Gluten Free Craze<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><strong>Here is a craze if there ever was one.<\/strong> I got nothing against going Gluten Free, it&#8217;s not like gluten is an &#8220;Essential Nutrient&#8221;, but the reason behind the craze may have been misguided information.<\/p>\n<p>I have been studying Nutrition for most of my life, and I think I can say as a fact, that the jury on the ultimate diet is NOT out yet, and it probably never will be.<\/p>\n<p>In everything we eat, there will be always a personal individual factor, which always has to be considered. If a <strong>&#8220;Craze&#8221;<\/strong> comes along, presented excitingly on general and social media, facts become very blurry.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The 1. thing to remember is the good old saying;<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>&#8220;one man&#8217;s meat is another man&#8217;s poison&#8221;&nbsp;&nbsp; .. which for this article I like to translate as:<\/strong><\/p>\n<h3><strong>&#8220;One &#8216;person&#8217;s&#8217; bread is another one&#8217;s poison&#8221;.<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><strong>The 2. thing is to consider the fact that &#8220;going gluten free&#8221; in &#8220;isolation&#8221; without any other diet or lifestyle changes is a waste of time.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Just going off wheat is not producing any magic, unless you have a Gluten problem.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Before &#8220;going off&#8221; an isolated nutrient or food source, there are many other recommendation to follow up first.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>By example,<\/strong> it is a well known fact that there is an <strong>over consumption of &#8220;wheat products&#8221;.&nbsp; &#8211; Why is that?<\/strong><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><script async=\"\" src=\"\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js\"><\/script><br \/>\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display: block; text-align: center;\" data-ad-layout=\"in-article\" data-ad-format=\"fluid\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-1945734187828545\" data-ad-slot=\"2144331746\"><\/ins><br \/>\n<script><br \/>\n(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});<br \/>\n<\/script><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Wheat is the main source of Gluten,<\/strong> and <strong>Gluten is the &#8220;stuff&#8221; that makes everything nice and fluffy,<\/strong> perfect for baking, and that seems to be what people like. And because we like it so much, we stuff our faces with it; &#8211;&nbsp; hand me another <strong>doughnut<\/strong>, follow that with pizza, and a croissant, chuck in a handful of bikkies,&nbsp; the list goes on. Everything is wheat\/gluten, all snacks and meals somehow contain wheat or gluten. <strong>It&#8217;s all too much,<\/strong> and by the way, did you noticed that all portion sizes are getting bigger and bigger?<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.usenature.com\/info-blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/wheat-gluten-e1529900530775.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-266 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/www.usenature.com\/info-blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/wheat-gluten-e1529900530775.png\" alt=\"Too much Wheat - Gluten products\" width=\"240\" height=\"161\"\/><\/a>It is just too much my friends!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>This over consumption has to stop first,<\/strong> if you like to change to a more healthy lifestyle, <strong>change the basic parts of your diet and lifestyle first.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Cut out refined and processed food as much as possible,<\/strong> that alone will have a bigger impact than just going off gluten.<\/p>\n<p><strong>I have checked some of the Gluten Free Products in the super markets<\/strong>, and I can tell you right here, <strong>processed food is processed food, with or without gluten, makes no difference. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Whenever gluten is taken out, see what is left and what has been added to that product.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Don&#8217;t get me wrong,<\/strong> there are fantastic healthy Gluten free products around, but what I am saying; <strong>just because it&#8217;s Gluten free, doesn&#8217;t make it healthy. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Try to get away from the artificial perception that Gluten free makes something automatically healthy!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Note:<\/strong> If there is a need for using gluten-free, then it is vital to avoid products with gluten.<\/p>\n<p><strong>If not Gluten sensitive,<\/strong> go on a good fresh food diet and cut down on grains, pasta, bread, bikkies etc.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Self prescribing a Gluten Free Diet,<\/strong> just because it is the latest Craze is definitely not a good idea.&nbsp; There is also the problem that self prescribing means that you may change when the next so called <strong>diet guru<\/strong> proclaims another optimal cure for everything.<\/p>\n<p><strong>And finally, I will let you in on a not well understood diet secret &#8230;<\/strong><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Attention &#8211;&nbsp; Diet Secret<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><strong>Anyone,<\/strong> who eats what a lot people seem to consume, lots of junk and processed food and drinks, lots of sugar and salt and sweets and everything on the super market shelf&#8217;s, and if those people who eat that are also overweight and having lifestyle disease problems, <strong>they all will improve if they do the following:<\/strong><\/p>\n<h3><strong>For 10 weeks,<\/strong> <strong>go on any healthy diet you fancy, and guess what, you will improve.<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><strong>A 10 week challenge is just clever marketing, because for most people it will work with any type of healthy diet.<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Why does it work? <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>It&#8217;s not so much of what you eat on that diet, it is much, much more of &#8220;what you don&#8217;t eat&#8221; that does the trick!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&#8230; and yes, if you go on a Gluten Free Diet for 10 weeks you are likely to improve, <strong>BUT NOT because it is Gluten free,<\/strong> &#8230;&#8230; <strong>BUT because you would cut down drastically on carbohydrate, sugar, salt, Grain-Gluten type foods like pasta, cake, bread etc.. &#8211;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>That was the diet secret no one is telling you about \ud83d\ude42<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Crunch Craze Column &#8230; Dieter L.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Feel free to reply with your comment &#8230;..<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Are gluten free products healthy?
