Holistic GP's

Holistic doctors are educated and trained in traditional medicine and hold a medical degree. 

They are addressing all standard medical needs, however, they take holistic principles into account and use a variety of alternative methods to promote physical, emotional and spiritual health and encourage a better quality of life.

 

Health, healing and management are acquired through the combination of many different approaches.  Pharmaceuticals or surgery may be prescribed, but only when absolutely essential and after other methods have been exhausted.

 

A holistic medical doctor sees value in both traditional and alternative methods and will combine the two when the situation calls for it.

A good holistic doctor will be skilled in diagnosing biochemical and metabolic disorders, food allergies, chemical sensitivities, nutritional deficiencies and supplementation needs, diet plans, lifestyle changes, environmental medicine and even spiritual aspects. 

 

Especially in the field of food allergies and sensitivities, which are badly diagnosed, treated or managed by the non-holistic general practitioner, a Holistic GP is of great benefit.
