Dr. Ruth Cilento
Dr Ruth Cilento was born in Adelaide and graduated in medicine and surgery from Queensland University in 1949.
For 22 years she worked in general practice and also in government hospitals in the field of child guidance, alcoholism and general psychiatry until 1994. Her success in helping people who are terminally ill and who have chronic, painful disease, has brought many with cancer and other devestating illnesses to her clinic.
The Free Cancer Support Group that she started in 1983 still meets in Brisbane and is now run by recovered patients.
She has lectured widely and written many articles on a variety of subjects. Her lifelong interest in researching the causes and prevention of disease has led her to many countries investigating lifestyle, nutrition and agricultural practices of the people to expand her work in many fields of integrative medicine.
