Grace Gawler

The Grace Gawler Institute for Integrated cancer Solutions - Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia

Grace Gawler delivers a high intelligence multi-faceted approach to assisting cancer patients. In an age where there is much 'bling and spin' in the cancer healing industry it is hard to sort out who is the 'real deal.'

I offer the following synopsis of Grace's amazing life of service to assure patients Grace is the 'real deal' and that they will get world quality assistance.

Patients commonly report they learned more from Grace in an hour than from all their other sources including research and specialists. See testimonials -

Grace knows there is so much more to combatting cancer than extreme diets, excessive supplementation or long hours of meditation and thus works closely with the patients oncologists, GPs and other treating specialists.

HOWEVER - commonly - after working with Grace, many patients suddenly begin to respond better to their conventional treatments. This has been so obvious specialists have asked what they are doing differently to get this surge in response.

Consultations are available in person (Gold Coast Qld) by phone or Skype - Click here for the Institute Website

Grace Gawler – a life of service
Australian pioneer of cancer support medicine

In 1975, Grace Gawler a bright young (21) vet nurse planning to study veterinary medicine received a lucrative modelling offer, which would have paid her university fees. Concurrently, her casual boyfriend, Ian Gawler, lost his leg to bone cancer.

Grace dedicated 18-hour days—juicing, massages, pain management, whilst researching every cure imaginable. With just three weeks to live—Ian proposed. Grace optimistically took him to the Philippines for a healing honeymoon, and his long road to recovery. Imagine the calibre of one so young who married a cancer amputee with a two week prognosis.

Ian survived, the word spread and due to demand they established the Gawler Foundation, helping thousands of cancer patients gain hope and lead better lives. Somewhere in between four children, running their farm and Foundation, caring for a son with special needs, Grace developed methods for helping women with breast cancer and authored, Women of Silence. She became known as a pioneer of cancer support medicine especially for emotional healing in breast cancer. Lots of achievements—in 1994 Life was good.

Disaster struck in 1997.  Ian unexpectedly left the family. A few days later, in shock, Grace experienced a uterine prolapse. Basic repair surgery went wrong and her major health crisis began. She would lose most of her colon. Now after 22 years of loving service the care giver and guide/coach for Ian and thousands of cancer patients was struggling for her life.

Grace battled on with little support—selling all she owned to pay for surgeries. She still had 3 children at home. She endured 17 serious surgeries but through her extensive research, she became a world first bionic colon recipient, requiring revolutionary surgery in Holland, 2003.  The Dutch, impressed by her will to live, made the surgery possible.

Grace enjoyed 6 good years building her cancer work until her bionics stopped in late 2008. After 2 failed surgeries in Australia, her partner (Pip) and friends raised money for her surgery in Singapore. After a long convalescence Grace attained good health in late 2009. She and Pip were still caring for her son with special needs.

Despite near-death experiences and financial hardship Grace’s spirit is vibrant, s obvious to those she meets and warmly felt by her cancer patients. She has consistently proved she won’t run out of options for them—they just have the will to keep going.

October 2010 - Her son is 30 but urgently needs surgery. It is too complex for Australian surgeons. Once again Grace can be found at her desk before dawn searching the medical papers of the world to find solutions for him. Never doubt she will succeed.

But good things happen and give us hope in humanity! Recently Grace was gifted a Health Promotion Charity in recognition of her life’s service to cancer patients. The new Grace Gawler Institute for Integrated Cancer Solutions enables Grace to assist larger numbers of cancer patients as she did when she inspired the gawler Foundation. Grace, who has now helped 13,000 patients, looks forward to expanding her services.

As a not for profit health promotion charity, Grace’s Institute has been getting wonderful support from generous donors who see the value of her work. She’s even been called the ‘Fred Hollows’ of cancer support. With more funding the sky is the limit!
