Tips for Detoxification

In recent history, mankind has managed to drastically change the chemistry of our environment. One report stated, that a grand total of 5,705,670,380 pounds of chemical pollutants were released into the environment we eat, breath and live in, all in just One year.

To compound the problem of our toxic environment, we have refined away much of the nutritional value of our food supply and replaced it with artificial colourings, preservatives, flavourings, conditioners, etc..

Unfortunately, our Diet, combined with extensive use of Antibiotics, Hormones in medicine and agriculture, may have predisposed many of us to experience a kind of  “Internal Pollution”.

Consequences of Toxicity...
When the body experiences an overload of toxic substances, the consequences can manifest in a number of ways:
headaches; muscle and joint pain; fatigue; irritability; depression; mental confusion; gastro-intestinal tract irregularities; cardiovascular abnormalities; flu-like symptoms or allergic reactions, including hives, stuffy or runny nose, sneezing and coughing and even more serious; autoimmune disease, including inflammatory and rheumatoid arthritis and neurological diseases such as Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease.

There are many ways to detoxify, but what is really important, be aware of it and recognize that the best treatment is prevention. Actually it is easier as you think, here are a few tips

  1. Sometimes it looks like the food industry is competing with itself to stuff their products with us much artificial colouring and preservatives and anything else chemical, as humanly possible.
    What is the tip?
Please REJECT processed food which is laden with chemicals ( numbers), indicate that you had enough of it and don't buy it.

  2. Buy fresh food as much as possible, or tin and frozen food free of any additives.
Manufacturers respond to the market, that's why we have already a great variation of chemical free food.
Even the organic food range is expanding, buy it, it shows the manufacturers what you want.

  3. Use consumer power to change the food being sold to you ...

  4. Start with something easy, don't by any soft-drinks, switch to water.
Don't be trapped by advertising for sugar and chemical laden drinks.
Just imagine the money you save.

  5. Forget about buying biscuits and similar ... it takes little time to bake a tray with muffins or similar...

  6. And finally, read the labels .... do you really want to eat "numbers".
