Pearl Children of Uganda

My name is Lulu Kenzig. Along with my daughter Shaolin, I have been working alongside a teacher in Uganda  who is running a school and his wife is involved with a charity group pearlchildren.org - these people have little or no resources and I only came into contact with this wonderful family through an Internet cafe, where he walks twice a week in order to keep up with modern teaching and healthcare.

I have offered to collect what is needed for both groups, computers being one of the needs - for staff and students.

Before I have even sent anything to them, they are already so grateful and await whatever we are able to provide.

So many groups approached announce that they are tired of donating, or that they have given their quota for the year.

Along with the staff of the orphanage and school in Uganda, we felt it may be better to ask for obsolete or unwanted items, which may otherwise be thrown away.

We are currently attempting to raise funds ourselves to travel to Uganda—as a trained nurse and Naturopath I plan to offer my professional services to help in the suffering.

My daughter is planning to study Youth Ministry in 2006, and intends to work with children of all ages—to let them know they are important and are loved—they have lost their families and homes, and need so much, but in comparison to our own possessions, they need so little.

Please take a look at the orphanage website—ours is in the process of being built and will cover a number of charities in Africa.

"When a poor person dies of hunger, it has not happened because God did not take care of him or her.

It happened because neither you nor I wanted to give that person what he or she needed."
