Tidy Kid is a fictional musicalcharacter, conceptualised to help push innovative musical experimentations, in the hope for a new outlook and philosophy on life and the brain's relationship with ones spirit. In other words, concept driven sound projects, which urge your view's to push through modern trends.

It currently sounds a bit like electronica......however what lies next is a full length Album, which will bend it self between, the biological self and the non biological self, or other.

I am you, you are me, let's go grow this tree.

 

People Sit In Cars is Tidy Kid's current hard copy EP which was boxed up and delivered in September 2006. It is available for purchase from CD baby and from www.tidykidmusic.com . Through White Label Music, you'll also find it on Itunes...

 

The Ep is a collection of short audio pieces, constructed on top of vocal + single accompaniment, improvised one takers, with layers of electro , nylon 5 string guitars, object sounds, vocal harmony's and real drum sounds manipulated to suit each piece.

 

All sounds are hand placed, no samplers/midi etc are used.

 

Project Conditioning rules were defined before starting this tidy kid project. "It helps me to identify motivations, related to how the recording is to take place, how to transduce the sound and being at ease with restrictions in audio mixing and mastering".

 

The debut is based around a pretty pure signal chain, eliminating any negative concerns with ones creativity. It may seem like a frustrative way to compose, with restrictions that disallow a wider pallet of sounds, but it's an exercise, which is simply leading up to the next step.

I hear there is an Album a foot?

The Album is underway, lifting the earlier restrictions of EP 1 and 2.

The Album will be titled, "I Drew A Line".

 

Currently sound libraries are being created in studio, with project conditionings and rules being developed.

Tidy Kid is going to put everything he has into this Album, a true artistic effort, with tracks above the drawn line associating them selves with this world, and sounds below the line turning their back to the safety's and walls that make up this conditioned game.
