Palmistry & The Beauty in your Hands |
Next Article > |
To me, there is nothing quite as beautiful, or as mysterious, as the human hand.
As a palmreader I love the buzz you get from holding someone's hand for the first time. The feeling is somewhere between plugging yourself into a light socket and falling down a well. There's an electrical burst of information as soon as you touch them, and then the fireworks begin. Each line and marking brings in a new flash of detail and gives you a momentary chance to heal the heart of another person. The beauty and the agony of palmistry lies in its subjectivity. There are just so many 'schools' of palmistry out there. Not all readers agree on the meanings of the lines, particularly the minor lines (excluding the big 3, which are the Heart, Head and Life lines). To be honest, I often joke that the only reason an author publishes a new palmistry book is to refute someone else's diagrams.
So it's not the easiest topic to learn, especially for a beginner. There's a lot to remember, and the only way to succeed is to test out your theories on people until you come to some kind of logical system. It's very much a case of building up a vocabulary of signs, which will always vary from reader to reader.
In my case, I am fortunate enough to have fairly good pattern recognition, due to years of musical training (and the occasional Tetris game), so what I'm really looking for in the hands are pictures or groups of lines that I have seen before.
For example, there is a small cluster of vertical lines found under the pinky finger that can indicate a strong interest in healing and health. It's usually found in combination with 'droplets' on the fingertips, which are rounded pads of flesh thought to signify additional nerve endings. Droplets tend to suggest that the bearer is a pacifist...the kind of person who avoids squashing bugs due to their ability to sense the suffering of others. These people tend to favour hands-on occupations such as music, massage therapy, the arts or cooking...
Did you know that you can alter the lines in your hands quickly and easily? The way I explain it is that your life is like a house that you build with your thoughts and actions. Spirit has given you plenty of bricks and there's a nice pile left out the front which you can use to modify the original plan anytime you like. So although your current Head Line may have signs of migraine and confusion, with a few adjustments such as meditation, a healthier diet and more sleep the quality of the line will improve. Similarly, you can actually 'grow' new relationship and children lines in your hand by making a decision to commit to a family life.
That means that there's always hope in Palmistry. Although your hand shows what you have achieved and what you are expecting, you can change direction any time you like, simply by changing your behaviour. These alterations will then show up in your palm, as a bit of a spiritual pat on the back. I find it reassuring to know that we retain full freedom in life to manifest our deepest intentions.
