Scenar Therapy
The Scenar uses biofeedback- by stimulating your own healing ability, Scenar teaches the body to heal itself. The device sends out a series of signals through the skin and measures the response. Visible responses include redening of the skin, numbness, stickiness, tingly (the device will have the feeling of being magnetically dragged), a change in the numerical readout and an increase in the electronic clattering of the device.
Your Scenar treatment
We incorporate the healing blanket in our treatment, you will be wrapped up in it before and after. The whole treatment takes around 1 hour.
What will happen during a Scenar treatment?
We ask you to change into one of our treatment shirts so that we have access to your back. The Therapist will apply the Scenar onto your skin, you feel a tingling sensation. Your Therapist will ask you some questions during the treatment and encourage you to tell us if you feel any changes or sensations. Our aim is to achieve a change in your condition, in some cases you may feel slightly worse after your treatment, please don't be alarmed it is a good sign, as it indicates that your body is responding to the treatment and a change is occurring. This is the start of healing. You will be asked to keep note of any changes you experience during your treatment. In most cases you will require a minimum of three treatments. Some acute conditions only need one treatment.
You have an option of paying for each individual treatment or buy a three treatment package. Your Therapist may even recommend the use of the healing blanket, it may be hired on a daily, weekly or monthly basis, and further information about this can be obtained from our clinic.
What will I feel during my Scenar treatment?
You will feel many sensations, such as tingling, tiny pins and needles, muscle twitching, slight numbness, you may feel energized, tired, calm, relaxed, or you might even sweat. You will feel an improvement in function and pain reduction. Keep in mind, that Scenar works on the mind and the nervous system, so you will feel harmonized, more positive and more focused.
