Natural Gender Selection

Natural Gender Selection

Diana Thurbon

There are several all-natural ways for gender selection to be achieved. Many of these have scientific backing and have been accurate in about 80 % to 90% of the time. Of course there is a 50% chance you will have a gender you want anyway. No-one can guarantee 100% success except through in vitro gender selection.

There are a few basics involved with natural methods of gender selection:

Determining and predicting ovulation - I use a detox and then herbs to get a regular cycle of 28/29 days and then suggest ovulation kits (available from the pharmacy) used in conjunction with home methods for picking ovulation such as rise in body temp and change in cervical mucus. To be successful at choosing gender being able to predict ovulation is important, especially if a girl is desired.

Timing of Intercourse - Androsperm - Sperm carrying XY chromosomes (boy) swim faster but do not survive as long as  XX-carrying chromosome (girl) Gynosperm  So if a couple has intercourse right at the time of ovulation and for the next 2 days, the faster-swimming male sperm have an advantage, and a boy is slightly more likely – but it can never be 100%.guaranteed. Intercourse 3 days or more before ovulation, increase the chances of a girl because the weaker sperm with the Y chromosome tend to die sooner and the X-sperms will be available in greater quantity whenever the egg is released.

POSITIONS

Missionary position or shallow penetration is best for conceiving a girl while doggy style and deep penetration is best for conceiving a boy. This is based both based on the different characteristics of Androsperm and Gynosperm and the acidity and alkalinity of the vagina.

The mucous is more acidic near the entrance favouring the tough Gynosperm and more alkaline higher up favouring the Androsperm

The idea of a diet for baby gender selection works and is not so hard changing your diet a little can make a very real difference in whether you conceive a baby boy or baby girl.

QUANITY

Girl babies are heartier than boys. All over the world, infant mortality rates are higher for male babies. More resources are required to support a baby boy.

For a boy, you need to eat in a way that lets the body know you have plenty of resources available to keep the little baby healthy after birth.  If diet sends the body the message that resources are scarce, the body makes the necessary chemical adjustments in favour of conceiving a girl. (Interestingly in rabbits scarce resources mean the foetus is absorbed and no litter occurs – nature at work.) In natural gender selection a practitioner will always work WITH nature.

Just small changes in diet can make a difference. For example, regularly skipping or eating a very light breakfast will increase your chances of having a girl, A hearty breakfast plus a  few snacks throughout the day will give you more chance of conceiving a boy.

ACID OR ALKALINE DIET

Using Diet to Create the Optimal pH Level

In general, sperm survive better in a slightly alkaline environment. Like baby girls themselves, though, female X-chromosome sperm are stronger than male Y-sperm, so they can tolerate more acidity than YAndrosperm sperm.

It is simple to change the diet a little to favour either boy or girl- slightly more acidic (for a girl) or alkaline (for a boy).

WHAT FOODS TO EAT

As well as daily calorie amount we can also tweak the pH balance of the reproductive tract;

For instance, if you eat a lot of potassium-rich foods, you're more likely to conceive a baby boy. So, in one sense, the myth that bananas are "boy" food is true, but apricots, peas, and beans are "boy" foods, too. If fact, beans are even better because they're high protein and alkaline, which also favour conception of a male baby

To have a boy you need high sodium/ potassium, calcium reduced diet. For a girl, eat the opposite a calcium/magnesium-rich, low-potassium/sodium diet.

This is the way you can tweak the body's pH balance enough to favour the conception of either gender

A diet high in potassium and sodium, and low calcium increases your chances of having a boy. (ACID DIET)

A diet high in magnesium and calcium and low in potassium and sodium increases your chances of having a girl. (ALKALINE DIET

For a boy

Eat salty foods to increase the sodium content in your body. A maximum of 6 grams of salt per day is allowed. Limit (not exclude) foods high in calcium and magnesium and increase salt and potassium foods. Foods high in sodium include table salt, olives, processed meats, such as bacon, ham, supermarket breads, vegemite, canned foods, frozen meals and crisps etc. Foods high in magnesium include most fish, figs, barley, wheat, oat bran, most nuts, pumpkin seeds, soybeans and spinach. Calcium-rich foods include milk, yogurt, cheeses, sour cream, ice cream, beans, soy milks, almonds, and calcium fortified foods. Don't take potassium supplements but you can use potassium mix table salt.

For a Girl

If you are trying for a girl, calcium-rich foods, such as yogurt, cheese, milk, fish, legumes, leafy greens and almonds. Season food with herbs and a little lemon or orange juice or wine instead of   salt and try not to eat processed meals, fast food and processed meats and cheeses.

Take a calcium, magnesium and vitamin D supplements

HERBS

Herbal remedies are obtained from a wide variety of natural resources including plant leaves, bark, berries, flowers, and roots. Herbal medicine IS used to regulate your cycle and then used again to help select gender

For instance:

Red Clover, Dong Qui and Stinging Nettle, Dandelion Leaves are some of the herbs I may use to promote the conception of a girl baby

Astragalus,  Pnax Ginseng,  Tribulous, Licorice, False Unicorn Root,  Avena sativa (Oat straw)   are some herbs I may I use to help with selecting for a boy.

Herbs should be taken by both prospective parents and male participation is important. Each partner will be taking a slightly different mixture. I use liquid herbs because it is the only way to be able to mix herbs in varying proportions. Herbs may be taken in water or a little juice

WARNING

Herbal remedies are used to deliberately cause a number of changes in the body. If you take herbs that are wrong for you, or mix herbs that should not be mixed, or take with prescription medications, or with over-the-counter drugs, you are taking the risk of serious side effects. Herbal medicine is very effective and extremely safe. We use herbs to work with nature. But please consult with a trained naturopath before taking herbs in a medicinal strength. Then please take as you are advised (more is not always better) and stay in contact with your practitioner.

Also please consult a professional before taking any supplement for fertility. I think everyone has heard zinc is good for improving male sperm count and quality. I have had male patients who have zinc levels through the roof and copper zinc ratio totally abnormal from taking huge quantities of zinc.  It doesn’t seem to help their sperm at all. I suspect this level of zinc to be quite toxic.  Not a good idea to self prescribe. With issues to do with conception it is not just your health you are risking, but your chidren’s, and even their children’s health.
