Professional Recognition of Natural Therapies

A quest for an Optimal Health System

Everyone has a right for "complete health" as defined by the World Health Organisation's (WHO) Constitution:

“Health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity”.

... and ... everyone has has the right to select the most appropriate health solution for their own benefit for lifestyle, prevention and treatment.

Unfortunately, even so Natural Therapies are used all over the world and have a longstanding tradition in providing first class primary and complementary treatments, there are still sections within our community involved in discrediting Natural Therapies.

Traditional and Complementary Medicine (TCM), like Naturopathy - Herbalism - Nutrition an dmany more, urgently need the recognition they rightly deserve, in order to complement our existing Health System to provide more comprehensive, prevention and holistic treatment choices, in line with WHO's constitution.

The medical system, even so it is absolutely dedicated to helping the sick, is lacking behind in prevention and improving Health.

As a result, more people then ever become sick and as a result, Health costs are constantly rising and becoming unsustainable.

We don't need more Hospitals ... we need more Healthy People!

Natural Health Practitioners need to know that the question of; "Statutory Registration or  Co-regulation", has to be answered urgently, to unite Natural Health Associations to represent Natural Health as a professional united force.

To be or not to be?

It is important to understand that; "even so, we as Natural Therapists consider our profession to be safe, modalities such as Naturopathy or Herbology carry an inherent risk factor for the public.

Ironically, that risk-factor "elevates" those modalities "inadvertently" to be effective.

Please read more on that question here > Optimal Holistic Health System
