2 excellent books, highly recommended....
.... a must to have for the young family, getting your kids started on yoga, and it's positive influence on life.
These books provide a fun and friendly introduction to yoga for children.
Suitable for 7-12 year olds.
Actually, I suggest those books to be read by parents.
They are contain valuable information easy to pass on, and probably will get yourself started on Yoga - or restarted. :-)
The books have fabulous illustrations and information is presented well structured, making use of summary coloured tables.
I wished I would have had books like those when I started yoga. It's so nice to have everything together at more or less one glance without delving into a deep study, and actually starting with yoga, rather than just reading about it.
The first one:
All About Yoga - By Sally Woollett
presents an overview of yoga - its origins and history, the reasons why people practise yoga, different types of yoga and the effects it has on the body and mind.
Publisher: Heinemann Library - 32pp - Hardback -
The second one:
Getting Started - By Sally Woollett
presents a practical guide for children including step-by-step instructional text and photos, guided breathing exercises and advice regarding safety, props and pose sequencing.
Publisher: Heinemann Library - 32pp - Hardback -
What a great way for the whole family to come together, getting educated, doing a physical activity and having fun. I am sure kids will enjoy the extra quality time these books provide with their parents.
