Acupuncture:

Is your Acupuncturist qualified?

Acupuncturists need to have undertaken a 4 – 5 year full time course at an accredited institution (whether national or international).

Accreditation with a specific association is the key to any practitioners validity.

Currently in Australia we have one leading organisation for the membership of fully qualified Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine Practitioners, and it is recommended that a qualified practitioner is a member with the Australian Acupuncture & Chinese Medicine Association (AACMA)

It is important that prospective or current patients know this and also realise that membership with general complementary medicine societies may not be enough.
